Here's a clip from that show.

Slash was the first to make me want to play guitar, James Hetfield was the first person who I tried to learn to play like.

Michael Wilton and Degarmo's solos first grabbed me when I was around 9 or so, then Slash and Gilmour.

I will look at this a few different ways..

Kiss is the band that got me interested in playing the guitar so Ace Frehley on that. Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Dave Mustaine and Marty Friedman were the guys that floored me and got me really going and then Paul gilbert and Vinnie Moore are the guys that took my interest to a whole new level. All of this at a young age.

Jimmy is the man. Been listening to the re-release of The Song Remains The Same all week long. I just can't see how anyone says that Jimmy sucks. :gethim:

+1 Jimmy Page! I remember taking out my moms Zep albums and just being blown away. He was a master songwriter, his riffs are so different from one another, and his leads are amazing, so much feel! I remember listening to Since I've Been Loving You and being flabbergasted at the feel and technique in his blues lines. Actually, I think I was obsessed with the entire band. I used to think about the odds of those 4 guys finding each other and starting a band. Bonham is BY far my favorite drummer, his technique, tone, and originality are mind blowing. He has so many memorable beats, like Out on the Tiles, and In My Time of Dying!!! John Paul Jones, oh man, his bouncy and tight bass lines were perfect, his keyboard playing and songwriting ability, its incredible! Page and Plant, two more originals with talent for days. Forming Led Zep, you have a better chance of winning the lottery!! A lot of people win the lottery, but only one Zep. Not many other bands can even get close, I would say the Beatles are it. But that's just my opinion!!!

Ace Frehley made me switch from drums to guitar. Scott Ian/Tony Iommi/James Hetfield soon followed
