and other rock stars rich, what does that say for $100 million dollar athletes,

Ya, it's "probably" more-prevalent than any of us realises Donnie.

I mean, it's not something peeps would want to go out and advertise (although some have), is it?

It's all about gaining advantage if I understand it correctly, so it makes sense that peeps would generally want to keep something like this under-wraps, forgetting of course the blowback they'd receive anyway.

What I'm saying is if we are to believe in the possibility of deals with the devil then we have to include by default:

The devil is real, hence God is real, hence that opens a heck of a lot of other pretty huge doors.
Ancient history has recorded Bargains with Beelzebub for as long as parting seas, and loud flaming bushes (great band name!)
Lots of old dusty writings about arks on mountains, chariot wheels in the Red Sea, and Faustian bargains.
But zilch since the advent of 20th century searching and documenting practices. (stained glass windows looking like a virgin aside)

Deal with the devil = God created the whole entire thing = why is the universe so freaking big... and who created God...
and a BILLION other questions bigger than whether R.J. actually did go down to the crossroads that night.

Nobody's questioning the efficacy of such deals; we're just saying that it's happened and will continue to.

That said, if I were offered such an opportunity I'd walk the other way... quickly. Better safe than sorry, which I think is most people's attitude.

We're saying that many people have claimed that this is what they've done; it's a matter of historical fact and has been going on since the '70s at least in the music industry.

Whether or not they were deluded and whether or not God exists have been (so far) beyond the scope of this discussion; it's been about what they claimed to have done.
