Couple o' things:
1) I've pretty-much only ever quoted you for correction of what you stated as facts.
2) I certainly didn't have to and I generally don't chime in much in the realm of politics, but I figured your being an Aussie 'n' all would more-or-less guarantee non-insulting responses.
3) I was wrong about point #2.

Mate, I'm more Australian than the vast majority of peeps I meet, given that they generally don't care or want to know about the important stuff, like who we are and where we're going and so on.

I threw a good life away, albeit in a soon-to-be-shitty country at the time, to come here and suffer (life turned out to be the polar-opposite of what I had there - no fault of Australia, just the way the cookie crumbled), represent, embrace everything Australian and so on. Heck, I've not even once barracked for the S. African cricket or rugby teams FFS. I've been horrified by the sight of naturalised Aussies supporting opposing teams; makes me sick to the stomach 'cause it says it all really.

Point being that you insulted me just then at a level I can only hope (and have always assumed) you'd understand. That not only wasn't necessary but it borders on being bannable given that we have a "do not disrespect the mods" rule. Others would've given you a short hiatus for that my man.

Yeah well I wasn't very nice so you probably deserve some sort of apology. So sorry - but I don't care if you ban me really. This place is full of toxic yanks chest beating about how they can beat up good countries like Australia. I'd kick their ambassador out, close their embassy, cancel the nuclear sub deal, kick their intelligence operatives out of pine gap, encourage all countries to never deal with them and find new markets without them and let them rot in their isolationism until they get over their ego trip.

You were Britain's first penal colony dumbarse as I always like to point out. They came here as a solution to the US being no longer available to send them anymore after the revolution.

Also, the US population doesn't suffer from the scale of inbreeding in Australia... due to being isolated on an island... full of criminals.

It’s only on paper. Are you still working? Who has no idea again? You can’t be out of the market forever. You lose dividends and the Australian market pays better dividends than the US market that relies more on capital gains. I don’t hold US shares because I could see what a bubble it was.

I still have a gain overall and the market I’m in is down about 13% off its peak plus I get about 6% pa return in dividends. I have enough out in cash to see me for 3 years without selling any shares and even then my super will be available and mostly it’s a defined benefit scheme so not affected. However for the time being Trump is fucking some things up and I’m not the only one who is pissed about it. We don’t get to vote for your wanker leaders but they still fuck with us.

If you thought wokeness only affects confused university students, it also affects our stock market. Since when did it become that our investors, government and Federal Reserve was so afraid of a recession that they'll try to do anything to prevent it? Recessions used to be a normal and healthy thing that happened every few years. Back in the 1980s and 90s, we would have a small recession once every 3-4 years. They didn't last all that long and it was a way of the market flushing out the misallocated money. But now, we must bail out everyone and everything, just because the stock market is down. All this stimulus just causes way more harm with creating more inflation. And even worse, we try to go 10, 12 years without a recession, which is unnatural and makes it way worse when it actually does happen.
