Literally everyone in the Pacific Northwest knows who they areI doubt it.
Most people didn't or don't know who Mother Love Bone or Green River is.

You made my list for me...............I would only add Soundgarden to that list.80s glam metal died because it had watered down to bands like Firehouse. Metal was on the rise to mainstream. Bands like Metallica, Megadeth and Pantera didn't need to wear makeup to sell albums. I enjoyed some of the bands that got lumped into the "grunge" moniker. Candlebox, AIC, STP, etc...
There was a lot of good music that came out in the 90s. Dream Theater. Queensryche's Promise land. King's X. I really dug bands like Cry of Love, Brother Cane, Black Crowes, etc.
I was thinking more of the rest of the world. The other 8 billion.Literally everyone in the Pacific Northwest knows who they are![]()
I just muse whether Mother Love Bone could have been huge and a household name if Andrew Wood had made it to push the band forward at the time.I doubt it.

Wonder how many know any of the band's beyond Nirvana ?
I know them but I wouldn't have if I hadn't been a massive AIC and Soundgarden fan in the early 90s.I just muse whether Mother Love Bone could have been huge and a household name if Andrew Wood had made it to push the band forward at the time.
As it ended up, yeah they unfortunately are pretty obscure.
āDonāt you know! The cool kids know it was Mudhoney who should have been big..JeeeeezzāThat's weird, I assumed everyone knew most of the Seattle bands - and it certainly seems that way with people my age
Actually I like The Melvins better than any of the Seattle bands other than AIC and Soundgarden.āDonāt you know! The cool kids know it was Mudhoney who should have been big..Jeeeeezzā
runs off to room waving hands at sides and slams door almost dislodging the TAD poster
Yeah, I only know of them because I was a huge Soundgarden and Pearl Jam fan, which led me to Temple of the Dog, which led me eventually to Mother Love Bone.I know them but I wouldn't have if I hadn't been a massive AIC and Soundgarden fan in the early 90s.
Tremonti has become a gift though. Guy is pretty great.Who or whatever was responsible for Creed, I hope there's a special place in hell for them.
Pretty sure I had the War Babies CD back then. Was it their one and only?Any of you remember War Babies or Green House ?
I was in Green House a few times.
I think they had a few. The one was the only one anyone would know. Like most bands they were not around very long.Pretty sure I had the War Babies CD back then. Was it their one and only?
Was that one of the bands McCready was in prior to Pearl Jam ?I think they had a few. The one was the only one anyone would know. Like most bands they were not around very long.

My bad. I recall reading about them somewhere, just don't remember where.
I very much feel the same about the blues genre.I still debate which genre is worse save for a couple decent bands within both of them are worthwhile.
