Still Snorkler love?

This sounds like it's going to be right up my alley.

I had a Bogner Helios that I liked but it wasn't 100% what I was looking for. I can't even remember what that was.

I'm betting you'll like it... @Jdub can give you his thoughts

I was hoping I’d like the blue channel more. It’s a bit loose for my liking. The red channel can do it all IMO. I’m happy just living there. Plus I don’t like the fact that I have to re-EQ the amp when switching channels.
My experience is that you pretty much have to dial in one channel or the other the way you like it and then use it as a single-channel amp. A second set of tone controls would do wonders to rectify this, but then it would be a whole other kind of amp. I wouldn't mind a second master volume, either.

I just got mine yesterday after 6 month back order... It sounds a whole lot like an old Bogner modded JMP 2204 that was made for my friend Toru back in the mid 90's Very saturated and toothy with lots of spit and snarl. Not the most dynamic, but excels at saturated modded Marshall tones... but not as much grunt as an 800, or as classic as a PLexi.. I have heard other use the term sticky, that fits.. But no amp is the be all end al IMOl. While waiting for Snorkeler I went cuckoo and bought a Plexi, a JB45, an Astro, and an Uber Ultra. ( sold My Freidmans , a Mark IV and a 4104.) They all sound great.. I think ultimately, it just comes down what inspires you.

I just traded mine with a uber ultra (arriving on monday)

It sounds great but wished it would have been a 100 watt. It lacks a bit bottom end IMO. But sure, great amp

The Snorkler is one of the very few "new" amps that get my interest; always wish I'd still have that old early 90's custom 100B I let go years ago.

Main question I have for this new Snorkler: have some of you been able to compare it to some old "original" modded Marshall Snorkler mod from back in the days? Any reason to prefer the new amp?

Got the Snorkler. It's a very cool amp. Lots of clarity. The red channel does indeed feel so good.
The blue is basically a JCM800. I know because it's parked right next to one. The FX loop master really makes this a flexible amp.
Digging it so far.
