AFAIK, cochlear is a natural part of the human ear. Are you saying that you have a cochlear implant to help you hear? I hope you retain your hearing because that's bullshit if you lose hearing.
Yes, but I don't believe I've used the term implant in a while as it makes me feel kinda like a cyborg or something along those lines. I've spoken to a lot of different specialists who have advised me to prepare for the worst. It was actually the surgery itself that made me lose my hearing. Have been closely following technological advancements and just trying to wait it out in hopes that something will come along. My daughter has helped me through a lot of retraining as she is a musician as well. So, her feedback is very helpful.
I interpret as she has an implant but she does criticise my comprehension skills (which are actually fine).
Feel like maybe some things are said that there are possible cultural/tone differences. Have tried to use emojis to convey better communication, but even then sometimes sarcasm and humor doesn't get across. Sometimes I'm just being confrontational. Kinda exhausting to keep up with. So, at some points I just don't care how people interpret things. Other times I try and clarify and it doesn't seem to matter. It is what it is. People can interpret things however they want, it doesn't mean they're correct on it's intent. Especially if they're unwilling to read the very next post being made. Certainly not going to be told what I meant by an AI with very limited information.
