RUSH to Return for 2026 North American Tour

I’m super stoked. She’s a killer dimmer AND not only did my wife just start playing drums, but she finally “gets” Rush so now she’ll get to see them live.

Those are some mighty big shoes to fill. Best of luck to her. I hope they have a great time and sell out every venue.

This is gonna be epic with her drumming. Check this out... That groove is fucking sick.

Full concert: Jeff Beck with Annika on drums. She's a fucking BEAST on the drum kit.

This interview starts off with a drum solo. Unreal. Can't wait to see them live!

Good. Good for Alex, Geddy and the fans.

It's music, they're musicians that created a staggering catalog and it's meant to be played live.

Anika is a monster and she'll do fine with the Rush stuff. Now my personal preference would have been Ray Luzier, he's as close to Peart as I've heard but Anika is a fantastic player and I'm really glad for Alex and Geddy to get back out there for some shows.

Again it's music, not sacrilege - it's the way I feel about all bands who continue on and if they want to play, they earned that right through decades of hard work, more power to them.

Not stoked at all.. why do these guys have to ruin a good thing? Peart was as much that band as anyone else and it is fitting they ended it with him on board. As crazy as it sounds, these guys are Canadian icons and we treat them like a national treasure. Their legacy is what it is because of the 3 of them , not 2 of them and an add on. There are a million drummers that could do this gig but it is not their place to hold it. That belonged to Neil. Also, Geddy's voice is done. What's the point.

2 beaver tails down for me on this one.

Surprised its not Mike Portnoy as he's a superfan and a killer drummer who I would of loved to have seen on stage with them.

A big diss to Peart's family imo
Peart’s widow Carrie Nuttall-Peart and daughter Olivia Peart issued own statement, saying:

“We are thrilled to support the ‘Fifty Something’ tour, celebrating a band whose music has resonated and inspired fans for generations, and to honor Neil’s extraordinary legacy as both a drummer and lyricist. Neil’s musicianship was singular. Compositions of intricacy and power that expanded what rhythm itself could express. As both drummer and lyricist, he was irreplaceable. Inimitable in his artistry, and unmatched in the depth and imagination he brought to the lyrics that inspired and moved so many, he profoundly shaped how fans connected with him and the band, giving voice and meaning to their own lives. As the band enters this new chapter, it promises to be truly unforgettable. We are excited to see how their new vision unfolds, and to hear this legendary music played live once again.”

I don’t feel like looking up the articles but I could have sworn these two vehemently stated they’d NEVER even try to find a replacement for NP, let alone calling it RU$H. They said if they worked together again it’d be called Lifeson/Lee or whatever.

He could easily pull it off, but I think he'd overplay and want a bit of the spotlight... not do it as a respectful tribute. Just my 0.02
