try to play a few of them, the wood they use on the necks varies widely these days and is key to tone. Try to buy one that has FLATSAWN maple not quarter sawn.....all vintage fender strats were flat sawn....

I have a few that I cut out...
but remember, when you have all four of the same speaker, they respond and move air more evenly and cut through a mix better than if using mixed type speakers...
just don't mix the lynchbacks with g12M ( 25 watters).....the 25 watters have wayyyy too much mids and efficiency is down so they don't balance as well as other choices mentioned here...
find the real ones on line ( vintage...and pricey) ...the greenback versions have a shit ton more bass than the blackbacks, but you can mod the blackbacks to be exactly the same..
for the price, 535Q, dial it in to your exact feel and tonal needs...

I've been running two greenback G12H 30 diagonally and two Blackback G12H 30's diagonally ( "X pattern")
and this cab seems to stand out amongst about 4 of mine....all early 70's checkerboard.
Note: the greenbacks have a smaller center voice coil orifice than the blackback...( half the size) so...
