that's incorrect....being a good person helps but that's not the key.
All that dogma was established hundreds of years after the “key” died by a bunch or powerful politicians and rich clergymen. And even then they couldn’t agree. Then hundreds of years later, another dude really muddied the waters.

real cool and laid back. lot's of satanic tats. very intelligent and had a good sense of humor. you could tell something was off though...at least I could. after years in my career I got to where I could almost instantly "read" and "size up" someone. We actually got into a discussion on religion....started with the ramadan incident the next day. basically all I remember is us talking about how fucked up the world is and he said "so is my way the wrong way? I don't think so...." when I told him the story of his uncle on his deathbed screaming for mercy before he died...he did not like that one bit.....not long after that he disappeared....
edit-
he had fucked up eyes....like soulless....or a dead thing...not really predatory...just different though....really hard to explain....I've been around everything from cannibals to terrorists-but he had the strangest eyes I have ever seen. Not trying to be weird or dramatic....
Hmm that's very interesting. So he did in fact spent some time with his uncle if he was into it himself. Was he into religion per se? I imagine "satanism" for him was being free and "acting according to your will" rather than praying to satan.
What tatoots did he have? Sigils and pentagrams and shit like that?

Is that a true thing or internet blabber? What did he say?

Was he into rituals and stuff? Did he tell you anything about that?

Also one last question ... was he the charismatic type? Convincing?

What dogma? Christianity, you mean?
Who is the key?
Who were the powerful politicians?
Who were the rich clergymen?
What year and where?
Couldn't agree on what? The dogma?
How many hundreds of year laters / what was the trigger / what was the outcome?
Who was "another dude"?
In what ways did he muddied the waters?

Who is the key? Figure it out.
Who were the powerful politicians? Popes and kings. Princes and cardinals.
Who were the rich clergymen? See above.
What year and where? Nicea. Later Trent and Worms.
Couldn't agree on what? The dogma? None of it.
How many hundreds of year laters / what was the trigger / what was the outcome? This question makes it seem like you already know.
Who was "another dude"? Some German monk.
In what ways did he muddied the waters? Nailing shit on doors.

So the key is Christ and the other one is Martin Luther?
First of all, Protestantism is just an institution.
Secondly, even knowing/believing all that how does it invalidate the Word of God in any way?
Thirdly, you picked Christianity, fine. What about the other religions?

As a separate question. How does "Christian" Gnosticism fit in all of this? That didn't went through the same process. Does that make it a more real religion?

Well, first of all, I was specifically responding to someone else.

he had a very engaging type of personality....I could see where he could dominate someone whose slow witted or gullible. Tats I can't really remember...pentagrams and shit....this was probably twenty years ago. Not sure if he knew his uncle or not, don't think they actually met. Also the thing about anton recanting on his deathbed is interwebz shit. I have no idea...I did read that though....

Book is pretty clear on salvation.....

Book is pretty clear on salvation.....

The book that has been translated and retranslated over 5800 times? The book where the most prevalent translation used is the KJV which was a meshing of three different translations put together by six individuals by order of a gay king because he was tired of Christians killing each other over who's version was correct?

We have no evidence from contemporary Roman history, or any other history, that corroborates the Bible. That's why yeverything Christians believe is based on "faith."

American xtians foam at the mouth at the very concept of a British king, yet accept his Bible as the ultimate authority.
