Hey…sounds awesome. I really wish I had that rig. I have been looking at Friedman, Henric Hermannson and Landry. But, I just can’t justify the money. I have two Tremoverbs by Mesa Boogie, which are voiced differently than the other dual rectifiers and are not as dark. I am working with tube rolling and pedals in front to tighten up the loose bass and have gotten close to the plexi, but no cigar. For you though, it is just plug and play. Can you list in detail what the head and cabs are. For example what is the head exactly, model, year, tubes or anything that would be important. And for the cabs, what speakers and did you mod the cabs by sealing or anything. Also, I would really like to know in “detail” what the guitars are. I have a Jem 7V WH and have never seen your Jem. I would love to know what the Washburn is…a real Nuno or what? Anyway, they and the rig sound incredible and you certainly do it justice with your playing. Thanks Brother.

Thank you for the kindness my friend.
The amp head is a 1968 Marshall Major 200 watt Plexi, model number is 1978.
The glass in it is:
V1 - NOS Mullard 12AX7
V2 - NOS Raytheon long black plate 12AX7
V3 - GE JAN 12AT7
& Power Tubes:
JJ - KT88's.
The mods are PPIMV and one wire mod, here's a video I made describing the mods.

The cabs are both stock JCM 800 1960a and 1960b. The a cab has Celestion G12M greenbacks in it and the b cab has the original 30 year old G12T-75's in it, nice and warm sounding.

The Ibanez is a '94 RG 550 that I swapped the body with a aftermarket Jem body made of poplar wood, it has a Seymour Duncan SH-4 in the bridge and a DSD in the neck.
The Washburn is a 1990 stock N2 with a L500xl bridge and a Dimarzio tone zone in the neck.

OP , is that straight up with no pedals ?
Great classic tone , pure sound of RNR imho .

Thanks for checking out the vid!!

Yup, straight up my friend, no pedals were used.
Word is you CAN'T use any boosts with a major, it could fry the amp. Seriously. So any of you that grab one and want some gain....au natural is the way to go! BTW sounds great

Thank you!!

Yes, because of the Major's ultra linear amplifier design, it's not a good idea to run any type of boost in front of the amp.

Here's part II using a couple of different guitars this time around.

Michael, thanks for the detailed line up.

You are truly blessed to have the rig and gift to be able to use it effectively...

That amp is what dreams are made of.
