I really need to give these amps another shot. I’ve only tried the Crate once and it sounded broken. Who else here owns one of these bad boys?

I think they are supposed to sound broken. But they work for a certain sound in a mix

yeah i saw this. i dont find them as close as the internet claims they are, the Crate does one thing great and thats the 90s Morrissound thing, the Ampeg can do that as well but is much more versatile. The Crate hates mids where the ampeg you can crank the mids and back off the treble and get all sorts of things going. ive still not found an amp that does that cold and grindy brutal thing quite like the Ampeg
