yeah i saw this. i dont find them as close as the internet claims they are, the Crate does one thing great and thats the 90s Morrissound thing, the Ampeg can do that as well but is much more versatile. The Crate hates mids where the ampeg you can crank the mids and back off the treble and get all sorts of things going. ive still not found an amp that does that cold and grindy brutal thing quite like the Ampeg

Ha I had a Crate 160w back in the day. Used the OG metal zone with it.

Someone here clued me in on the Gup Tech Que Bec for my 140C and I love it. (Thanks whoever you are!) Having a kind of presence knob for it makes for more definition and a lot more versatile.
