chubtone, that is a AWESOME guitar army.

That is from YEARS ago though. I sold all my original Charvels except for two. And I have added 3 of these new ones to the group.

Hey Chub, how do you like the Hybrid in that guitar? Been thinking about making one myself, just not too sure about how the product sounds in a strat body.

I don't have enough time on it through my big amps to give a solid opinion. It sounds great through my practice amp. If I don't like it, I have a Duncan '59 from the 80's or a Duncan '78 to try also.

Think the EVH/78 is going to be my next bridge humbucker purchase...hell if I'm really feeling edgy I may have the custom shop put it together like the Rio Grande slanted humbuckers so its a little strattier when I tap it.

Oh the irony, cause white is exactly what I want!

Although I wouldn't mine a rattlesnake skin finish, to get my cheese out on. :hys:

Will they actually make a H/S/S with a 5pos blade? Or is their some deal with Fender that prevents them? I just love the idea of having a H/S/S rear loaded with no pickguard.

I'm sure they would make what you are talking about, but you are talking about Custom Shop though. I don't know if you are at the endorsement level for Fender/Charvel yet, but I would give it a shot with your package. His promo package Barzini. :gethim:

I'm gonna say probably not. :hys:

Although I would love one. There is something I find very cool about rocking the Strat style guitar with Charvel on the headstock!

So I was looking up Socal vids on youtube, and what do I come across? Ralph's ugly mug tearing it up through a 5150 III!!!

You can see Randy (tweed) in the background too.

I gotta say, that 5150 III sounds pretty damn good!

On Friday Ralph and I were right there at the Charvel booth for probably an hour. We kept switching the channels on that 5153. Ralph was all about the 3rd channel of course and I kept putting it back on the 2nd channel. I'm convinced if there was a 5th channel, Ralph would have been on it. With a boost if possible

That sounds about right. :hys:

I've still yet to actually plug ino a 5150 III. Some clips I hear sound great and others not so much.

That fingerboard is too clean. :gethim:

I'm going to go change my oil and not wash my hands and come back in and play it. I hope in 27 years it looks the same as the neck on a 1982 Charvel looks.

I was going to suggest playing guitar with Cheeto fingers.

I am torn on what to say because I have been known to maybe once or twice laugh at relic jobs that guys paid a grand for and say there is mojo present :scared:

That said I think it looks forking awesome!!!!!!

I want that robin's egg bad Curt but between the new Deere and booking Atlantis for next April I am flat out tapped

Love the concept....show that to the Fender boys when they come with the next batch of colors.

you need to throw it in the freezer for a while to get some nice finish checking

I think it looks great with the new pickguard and chrome floyd. relic'ing not too sure off but came out well. The huge-ass gap Charvel leaves around the Floyd and the pickguard bugs the crap outta me :D

It's funny, for a couple of years I was into guitars that were just beautiful like these:

Now, I like 'em ugly.

I'm with chubtone on this
Eddie Van Halen & Brian May didn't need fancy $4k guitars to change history

organic, flawed guitars does it for me

PS
relic looks cool and will look cooler as time goes on

Uh................EVH's figured sig guitar is $3200
