$3,999 for the rack UL 2 per Axe Palace
Not surprising and not bad considering. Was hoping this new ul would have reset the used UL market back to normal$3,999 for the rack UL 2 per Axe Palace

Yep, kind of agree but to buy a new Deliverance 120 at $3,200... I figured 4k would be the price for this. That's a HUGE ask for such a radically different design convention in this market.
But if you replace the tubes it will void your warranty. This new Fryette UL2 truly offers the best of both worlds. For a mere $4K, you can worry about tube maintenance AND software glitches all from the same unit!
This has been a thing since the 2000s at least... Anything with MIDI can have software issues, anything with the microprocessor controlling functionality (GP3's Brite, Fat, Boost, EQ, etc functionality) can have software issues... Just because it wasn't directly visible, like via a screen, doesn't mean there wasn't software assisting in some of the controlling of the logic. Hell, the amp switcher that everyone is loving with its impedance matching has software logic in it, too. Steve has used software to help augment his stuff for a while. This new Fryette UL2 truly offers the best of both worlds. Yeah and the stuff I have like that will get thrown in the bin eventually. My tube amps (with no midi or anything like that) will last for my life. I don’t want something like this. I don’t object to it existing and if I was a touring musician I might even like it. But when I buy an amp, I want an amp. I can plug it into my computer or whatever separately. Don’t want built in anything. I just wanted a Pittbull. This sucks. This has been a thing since the 2000s at least... It's totally fair to hate on the screen's usability and form factor, but I feel like amps probably have more software-based implementations on stuff than people realize which is the main thing I'm trying to point out. For example, do people know that the YJM100 has software in it? Or the JVM? GP3 had it, IE4 had it, X99 had it, and on and on. I get the want for something to be fully analog, but it's not always practical in certain implementations when you're trying to add features that keep getting requested - MIDI being one of the biggest.Yeah and the stuff I have like that will get thrown in the bin eventually. Plus I can’t deal with little screens like that. Nightmare stuff.
I get it. My current amps are a 2203, D120 and a Cornford Hellcat. Definitely no software involved. I could deal with a midi board if I had to, but I definitely don’t want an LCD screen inbuilt ever. It's totally fair to hate on the screen's usability and form factor, but I feel like amps probably have more software-based implementations on stuff than people realize which is the main thing I'm trying to point out. Funny how the OG Ultra Lead was one of the most intimidating and meanest looking amps ever made and the new one looks about as cool as an old VCR.
What the hell? That is almost despicable. Can't believe they can get away with that. On the other hand, maybe they can just make me a full sized "hellhound" if Steve is going to only offer me a VCR.
