$3,999 for the rack UL 2 per Axe Palace

I mean I can see why they're charging a lot considering they're cramming a three channel 120w tube amp plus what looks like a reactive load, IR processing, and other stuff into a 2U rack unit, but man. That's a HUGE ask for such a radically different design convention in this market.

Yep, kind of agree but to buy a new Deliverance 120 at $3,200... I figured 4k would be the price for this.

The only problem is that for me personally, if im dropping 4k on an amp the only amps I would even consider would be a Wizard MC2/HR or a Mezzabarba Eric Steckel sig.

Maybe this new design will stand the test of time who knows. Times have certainly changed since the old days when all we had were giant tube amps.

At least it's not a floor board platform I suppose.

This new Fryette UL2 truly offers the best of both worlds. For a mere $4K, you can worry about tube maintenance AND software glitches all from the same unit!
But if you replace the tubes it will void your warranty.

This has been a thing since the 2000s at least... Anything with MIDI can have software issues, anything with the microprocessor controlling functionality (GP3's Brite, Fat, Boost, EQ, etc functionality) can have software issues... Just because it wasn't directly visible, like via a screen, doesn't mean there wasn't software assisting in some of the controlling of the logic. Hell, the amp switcher that everyone is loving with its impedance matching has software logic in it, too. Steve has used software to help augment his stuff for a while.

Yeah and the stuff I have like that will get thrown in the bin eventually. My tube amps (with no midi or anything like that) will last for my life. I don’t want something like this. I don’t object to it existing and if I was a touring musician I might even like it. But when I buy an amp, I want an amp. I can plug it into my computer or whatever separately. Don’t want built in anything. I just wanted a Pittbull. This sucks.

Plus I can’t deal with little screens like that. Nightmare stuff.

It's totally fair to hate on the screen's usability and form factor, but I feel like amps probably have more software-based implementations on stuff than people realize which is the main thing I'm trying to point out. For example, do people know that the YJM100 has software in it? Or the JVM? GP3 had it, IE4 had it, X99 had it, and on and on. I get the want for something to be fully analog, but it's not always practical in certain implementations when you're trying to add features that keep getting requested - MIDI being one of the biggest.

I get it. My current amps are a 2203, D120 and a Cornford Hellcat. Definitely no software involved. I could deal with a midi board if I had to, but I definitely don’t want an LCD screen inbuilt ever.

Apparently it does exist

He HAS to house the vcr in a nice headshell. The logo can't be fryette plastered all over the front. These builders don't understand the value in less is more. We like understated in contrast to endorsomatic.

Honestly that brick loaded into a nice headshell would be dope😎

What the hell? That is almost despicable. Can't believe they can get away with that. On the other hand, maybe they can just make me a full sized "hellhound" if Steve is going to only offer me a VCR.
I’m sure everyone knows this, but Steve Fryette put his VHT brand up as collateral for a loan. He didn’t repay the loan, so that company took the VHT name and ran with it, Probably 15-20 years ago now?

Court papers exist online for any skeptics. Lol it played out in the public eye.

Here’s a pic of my rig from years ago. Wish I still owned this stuff!

I also owned a 50CL without graphic EQ, a 50CL with graphic EQ, and a Sig:X.

It’s just strange that I’ve watched them using that name all these years, but they have been making these amps that are clearly no relation in looks. Now all of the sudden they’ve just gone, fuck it, let’s make something that is a compete visual rip off.

What was your preference if you had one between the Deliverance and Pittbull. I used to watch your demos on YouTube back in the day all time. Back when YouTube wasn’t influencers and I just had a curiosity for amp demos.

Machine learning may give it the ability to adapt (sound and feel) like different power amps with different power tubes, depth and presence. Make sense to have power sections that can vary for Synergy modules. If it works and sounds good, it could be great for Synergy.
My understanding, in reference to the Friedman IR-Load, is that it has built in technology to react to the speaker cab the same way a Friedman 100w BE does.
Would be way cooler if it mapped the way any power amp reacted to cab, and saved it as setting. So then you could, for example, plug in your Mesa Mk2C+, and route it thru your saved Marshall 100w "learned power amp" setting, ala Metallica. Or run a Vox AC30 into the Friedman unit, and route it thru your saved SLO100 setting. Basically, match any fully loaded amp, to a different amps power amp profile. Perhaps I'm over-thinking that.
