So I've been shopping around and have one other question for you all....
What about a 1x12?
I found a good deal on an 80w 112 and kind of want to get it.
Make and model?? Tube or solid state amp?
80 watt solid state is probably not going to be loud enough.
Was looking at the Peavey Bandit silver stripe. Transtube.
My friend had an old bandit and was a different model but sounded pretty decent for what it was.
Just worried about volume.
Transtube is what? Tube preamp and solid state power? Probably not going to be loud enough.

I've used Peavey Bandit's and they are plenty loud for band use and have very prominent midrange so they cut really well too. Not all SS amps lack headroom and cutting power... a lot of the cheaper ones do, but it's not the case with the better made amps that are made for serious musicians. Some of them are just as loud as equally rated tube amps, especially the 1980's and early 90's Randall's and Ampeg heads. I remember when I had my Mesa Mark III, and when I jammed with my band I would loan the other guitarist one of my Randall RG100ES heads, and that thing through a Mesa rectifier cab is a really loud amp... It would be at like 3 or even a bit under that at practice, and I would have to have my Boogie up around 4 or louder to be at an equal volume, and that Mark III was no wimpy amp, it had serious guts to it as well.
