Depends on the meaning of Bum amp?? If it's broke or defective of course and should alwys be disclosed but...some choose not to and seem to be ok with it but not me.....Now..if ya mean Bum cuz you just don't like it then...thats just matter of taste and has no bearing..Most amps I sell I do like but something doesn't feel right to me or it's too modern sounding..etc,etc...Damn near 100% of the time the new owner loves the amp with no dislikes at all so...It's all in the hands of the beholder!!!

Doesnt sound like he's talking about tastes though if "previous owners of certain amps will understand". Sounds like all of them found the same thing.

But..your talking to a guy that likes Krank amps so...there ya have it!!!!

Aint nothing wrong with some good old fashioned hedge fund futures trading bro!!!!! When you drop the order on MF and spam it 2 minutes later for A LOSS to get other gear though................now that is jonesing hard!!!

My buddy does that a lot. Half the time, he isn't really interested in the gear he gets back in a trade. He's just looking for something that will be easier to move at a better price!

One example - he went from a Randall V2 (which I told him not to buy), to a TSL100, to a JSX, to cash. HE NEVER TURNED ANY OF THOSE AMPS ON FOR REHERSAL LONGER THAN 20 MINUTES.

But thats the beauty of that kind of trade because most times..if not everytime.....You've had the amp you have coming before and know it's not your thing but..easier to sell...sometimes that backfires too though and your sittin on something else that ain't moving but your right and I think there's another thread about it where Schmucks play an amp at whatever store for 5-10 minutes and feel qualified to write a review on it saying how hard it sucked. And most of those guys think playing guitar only takes one finger because of their awesome dropped to Z tunings.....Ok..starting to rant.......I'm out....

Buying gear from gear enthusiasts is the best way to go. People that flip gear left and right usually keep the stuff in real good condition and sell it for a reasonable price when many times they even bought it new. Whether they really think the thing sounds like shit or not is irrelevant to me...because at the price I buy stuff for if I end up not liking it I can can usually turn a small profit or break-even at worst.


Then again, this predatory type approach is not unlike how many girls were passed around when I was in college......
