Not sure what's going on up there but apparently the same area had 4 earthquakes from 3.0 to 4.3 early this morning; all within 10 minutes of each other.
We have a fair amount in Missouri due to the New Madrid fault but nothing like California. I do feel our area is due for another big one. Because our codes are not as strict, it will be quite catastrophic (lots of 2 and 3 story brick buildings.
I have the Earthquake app and I look at it almost daily. We had a 2.8 the other day. And I've arrived at my cabin before with things knocked off the shelves. If we do have a big one - my wife and I will be 'bugging out' and heading to the cabin due to all the fresh water and lack of people.
For fuck sake, we all get it, you run your fucking mouth about shit you have literally zero clue about all the time. It's "Your thing". A cursory fucking google search before you post might be a novel idea eh ?
About 30 years ago, one from the new madrid was felt here in northern Indiana. Insurance companies jumped on it afterwards, offering me earthquake insurance. I'm sure they weren't aware of Dan's "statistic".
