Robin Trower is a hero of mine. From the moment I heard the 1st album back in 1973. I've seen him countless times, including when he sold out MSG, NY in'76. I've seen him in Shea Stadium and I seen him in clubs.
He lost alot when singer James Dewar passed away.
The last few decades I don't care for. His tone sucks compared to what it was. His band sucks. This is what happens when you want to tour, but are not willing to pay decant backing band. The whole mix is his guitar. Everything sounds like a funeral dirge with that D tuning he uses.
I could go on and I hope he's still touring at 110 years old. I prefer listening to the older material.
PS, he must be deaf. How can he not hear how shitty that Fulltone Clyde Wah sounds. Worst Wah sound ever.

I liked my original, early Fulltone Clyde #1452 quite a bit back when I still had wah wahs though I found a standard Vox was way better value for the money.

I get you Carl, but I'm still going to check him out when he comes through town next month.
From the modern records, I really dig the Where Are You Going To album. Stripped down production with Robin handling vocals. It has it's moments for sure.
