A Hero Of our Time

Good morning Von.

You're absolutely correct in describing the "western" world. Everyone here, depending on their wealth, has a larger environmental footprint.

But countries like India and China make up for smaller per capita pollution by sheer population numbers.
Very true. India and China are allowed to get away with it by the same elites who profit from avoiding environmental laws by setting up production there vs someplace like the usa. I dont want to sing my own praises but i like to keep my footprint small just for the $ savings. I have a small house and use my clothesline and dont run the ac down low. I been heating in winter mostly by cutting deadfalls and managing invasive salt cedars. We do have gas guzzlers but the roads here justify owning 4x4s imo.

I have a huge house, powerful truck/cars/electronics, but that's fine, I paid for them, and I don't owe shit to Al Gore or George Clooney or any of their kind. I don't use them in an intentionally wasteful manner (well, driving vehicles hard is a passion, and it guzzles gas, but it's not wasteful if it entertains or serves me, the owner/consumer; I channel my money where I choose👌 ). I'm an active recycler, that's universally a positive goal. There is great efficiency in online shopping, and I go out of my way to have items ship together rather than separate trips, these are no brainers. And I also don't burden the court or prison systems, or even the (free to SOME) medical system.

I don't have multiple giant mansions or lux boats or SHIPS or private jets like many vain hypocrite Libfucks do, and I don't preach to others how they should manage their own money or free time. I wouldn't bail out the stupid ones who end up destitute as a result of their own repeated poor decisions over time either, but the govt uses my tax dollars by force to keep Useless Idiots alive and FAT in exchange for nothing, so meh. :dunno:

The Chi-Coms live in the biggest glass house on Earth when it comes to environmental practices, and many other major countries are very bad, but on a smaller scale. Would be 100 years after starting to change their ways before the Chi-Coms could even dream of throwing stones....

Understood, I just don't like maintenance and bigger homes require more of it plus our finances are not large so bigger home equals more crippling commitment to dollars for us. Me and my wife would feel really weird living in a house with 2500+ sq ft. I guess I like small stuff, even my favorite books are pocket size editions, LOL.

I wanted a roomy basement music studio, and you don't get those in small houses. That was a major part of the selection. 😎

My dream was a small cabin with a nice studio building on the property where I could record my band and other local bands I enjoy and respect. The events of 2020 caused me to change my mind about the studio. It's not worth it anymore so I'm happy with having a corner in the living room. My wife likes guitars too so she doesn't care, we park all our gear where it's most handy for day to day life.

You know you have a keeper then. 😉

Most women are not very sympathetic to having a serious, loud guitar/recording pursuit play out in their own home daily.

My ultimate plan near retirement will be to have a cabin or lodge in the mountains with a separate building to serve as jam room/studio/party bunker/armory.

I wonder if Leo DiCaprio or Bernie Sanders would approve? And if I have two buildings, does that mean it's a compound, and does that make me an Oligarch?

I rarely plug in at home tbh, generally only if I'm troubleshooting or testing some new gear that I plan on gigging. The couch is my favorite spot to practice and I like semi hollows so can get away without amplification for that.

Sounds like a great plan.

Mother earth is gonna kick our ass if we don’t smarten up...
Unfortunately there's no "if" anymore. Even if we cut emissions to zero today, al large amount of ass kicking is baked in the cake at this point. We could prevent the worst possible outcomes if we took collective action to drastically cut emissions now, but it simply doesn't seem likely that we can get ourselves together enough to do that.

Well funded propaganda from fossil fuel outlets has convinced a large percentage of the population that the whole thing is a lehbrul hoax.

Don't forget, the Earth is flat now, you might fall off the edge and into the Abyss!!:oops::oops::oops:
Or if it's round there is someone walking around upside down from my location, which considering some of what is going on in the world today is starting to make a whole lotta sense.

Our Resident Stooges (now back to a full THREE since JD Cunt's predictable return) really should comment on this.
In his defense James Kirk was noting the egregious abuses of the environment by India and China this morning which IMO are actual measurable negatives rather than speculation based on polar ice samples and 150 years of recorded weather.

@ Oozy

What comment would make you happy? "It's a fucking pigsty." How's that?

If you read my comment about overpopulation, you'll see a perfect example of it on that *cough* beach.

By the way, if you think this only happens in India, here's Seal Beach in SoCal.

The root cause of climate change (or whatever you want to call it) isn't being discussed by anyone that I know of.

It's OVERPOPULATION.
Wait.... I thought most of the western world was in a declining population crisis due to the lowest birth rates in history. This is why we need to import all the illegal 3rd world migrants, to supplement western populations. That's what the democrats have told me anyway.
