i'm offended that your offended. actually the coors banquet style was flowing freely through my system yesterday, plus after working on my truck most of the day(I had to buy a dodge) i was in one of those moods. hope i didn't come off like a dick. also, i was not aiming at anyone either. just a general comment.

quite a few times i have read "the mods need to clean this place up." etc.,etc., listen-I DON'T GIVE A FUCK. it's a fucking forum. you guys have free reign to do what the fuck you want. I'm not doing shit unless someone asks me to, and if I feel they stepped on their dick, and want to come crying, to bad-they can own it. basically i signed up to clear the spam, that's it. Not being a dick, just being honest. I have neither the time or motivation to stay on top of this place 24/7. As far as banning goes, 1) you threaten someone your done. 2) you scam someone your done. 3) you post some really nasty or offensive shit your done. that's it. On the other hand, if I can be of assistance in any way-don't hesitate to contact me. Not trying to be an asshole here, just telling you my opinion. This forum is what you guys make it, simple as that. Carry on....

Laissez faire moderating is one of the best things RT has going for it. I wish mods on other boards would adopt this attitude instead of heavy-handed moderating for the interests of the most easily offended.

The problem is that today, when people say they are offended about something, they almost automatically get the response they are looking for which is an apology, resignation, etc. As a result, people are going to continue to cry foul because the apologies and resignations positively reinforce the behavior of crying foul.

It's kind of like if a kid cries for a cookie and is given a cookie. He or she then learns to cry in order to get cookies.
