A singer is a terrible thing to waste.

Yep, I saw them in the Hollywood club scene before they got big and he always struggled. Nothing new here. But, I just don't get the unprofessionalism. At least give the fans the best you have, even if its a bit off...
Absolutely. I couldn't imagine being so arrogant as to just take money from people and give them nothing for it. Thank God his band is good, but people aren't spending their money to see twirling sticks, Jeff Blando and fucking Dana Strum. No matter how good JB's tone is!

If it’s Blando then he’s got Crate Stealths behind the Marshalls mimicking their tone. If you can control the brightness and wind them up they can sound surprisingly good.

i knew before i clicked the thread it was gunna be about vince. I can't believe he still gets booked!

Isn't Motley going out on some big tour with Poison, Leppard and Joan Jett next summer? Wonder how much those tickets will cost....

$200 Million dollar tour was suppose to be this year, on the books currently for 2022.
I believe last weekends shit show was the "canary in the coalmine" for those involved.
Im sure there is some "re-assessment" going on along with alot of "WTF" phone calls.

Meh, I've seen the Crue at least 10 times and Vince was great every time. If Page and Clapton had every gig recorded on a camera phone there would be some doozys in there too. He does look like shit tho

HAHA, Vince is the "abdominal" snowman

Sam, no!!!!!!!
This is Mr "Exo-Valdez" dream singer and answer to the pussies who can appreciate Greta Van Fleet.
Yeah, 24 year olds touring the world for 3 years, 3 number 1 singles, number 1 album and hell a GRAMMY.
None of this matters because "Exo-Valdez" has the meanest Marshall known to man ( sitting in front of it wanking for RT glory.)
Maybe they need a Marshall modded with RT brethren hemorrhoids to be TOUGH DUDES MAN.

*Hey "Exo-Valdez" you never cleaned up that nasty spill in that Cameron Marshall but you sure defend it like a pussy CEO from Exxon.*

Btw , that guitarist in Greta can pull EVH, oh yes he can but why would he?
What have you done?...............................................
Oh!! Pushing $5THOUSAND DOLLAR mutilated JCM 800'S???
Dude! We can definitely trust your opinion!!!

Hate to say it but could he ever really sing? I do enjoy their songs on record but live he is not great. I think if he put at least some effort in he could be better.(pre tour) His band seems to be on point but if he isnt that sucks.

Could half the guys that made it big really? I probably stick up more for Vince than I should because he was a bit of a screw up but he had a unique tone and did a good job on Crue records. Good enough for the albums to kick ass. Live he struggled some shows but delivered on others big time. Pick random shows from the varius eras and there are nights where he is def. "on". Take into consideration that this was before they sang to backing tracks and lip synched choruses like a lot of them do now and have been doing.

Now could he ever "sing"? That's up to interpretation. I prefer to say, could he ever adequately reproduce what he recorded in the studio? I would say yes. Has he been good the last decade? Safe to say not at all... but he still has the tone and that is part of the Crue formula!

That’s half the reason bands use backing tracks so much now, to avoid situations exactly like this, you can’t have “off” nights anymore.

I mean I love motley as much as anyone but if Vince Neil was playing my town carnival I’m not going even if it was free
Just people watch at a Vince Neil festival is worth the price of admission and the cost of an elephants ear!

I do like the fried doughs you only find at county fairs, I’d go grab a couple of them and do some people watching then leave before he came on

I’ve seen Motley 3 times, and Vince wasn’t good any of those times, idk how he’s only having an off night at 100% of the gigs I’ve seen, but miraculously he’s good the rest of the time.

$300k per shitty gig sounds like he’s way up to me
...I’m sorry, lots of fun kicking the famous guy that makes a lot of money when he‘s down

Elvis was “way up“ in 1976 too...

If you are that offended and incredulous that a singer in a rock band has succumbed to addiction and alcoholism I can only suggest you re-calibrate your expectations. No one is making you go see him.

What shows did you see?

Saw him on the Dr. Feelgood tour....guess that was one of those rare times he sucked- we left before it ended.
