A singer is a terrible thing to waste.

The one and only time I saw Motley Crue was on the first "final" tour they did a few years back, in which I think Vince was mostly lip syncing. A lot of people I know are really hyped about seeing them again, which I just don't get. Love their earlier recorded stuff and I think their live shows are mostly entertaining, but if Vince isn't up to singing, then seeing them live is less interesting to me. I know it's different for vocalists as they get older, and sometimes it's a crap shoot. At the same time, it's hard to have sympathy for someone who hasn't taken care of their instrument. Age is one thing, not wanting to do the work is another.

I don’t want to stare at someone looking like that in Walmart let alone for a live concert. I’ve heard complete strangers humming in a store better than he can sing if that’s what you want to call it.

If you’re going to be the frontman for a band you have to both play the part AND LOOK THE PART. He’s got no talent left in him and the way he cares for himself physically is exactly what he thinks of everyone else around him mentally.

I love Motley Crue but they need to fire his ass and move him on. If there was any better example of washed up I’d be surprised.

Since the MC stadium tour was postponed yet again, fans have been clamouring to know what Vince is up to these days. From the video it seems about 265 lbs.

See this fascinates me and I would be asking questions... what exactly are they hyped for? Do they not have the internet and missed any of the videos like the OP that we’ve all been laughing at for 20 years now? Do they know and just don’t care and want to cough up hundreds of dollars one more time to show their gratitude? Do they just want the concert atmosphere? As someone who won’t go see some of my favorite bands on record because every live video I’ve seen is a joke and would rather not ruin my perception of the band I wonder about these things

lotsa fun kicking the famous guy when he’s down I guess

I'm curious what the alternative is? Of course no one is obligated to spend money on them, but it is a bit of a bummer when the whole rest of the band can still effectively function, and one member isn't interested in putting in the same effort, just collecting money.

And I wouldn't really say he's "down", as was said, he's been like this for 20 years. And he sucked for the 20 years before THAT.

Saw them at Alpine Valley in 1990, with Tesla and Bonham. Sounded good to me. But, he’s never been a great vocalist. Saw them at Rock Fest in 2014. Just OK.
Age catches up with everyone, especially when you don’t take care of yourself

I knew it was about Vince Neil before I clicked!:p:p:p Poor Vince. He just likes his barbecue that's all. And let's face it, he's partied more than enough in his lifetime.

....Pales in comparison to a few years prior they had Brett Michaels play the festival and he was on stage for over 2 hours.
I don't know man. Personally, I think that would be even more painful to sit through. At least I like some of Motely Crue's songs. ;)

But the women in the crowd for Brett Michaels were way better than the ones for Vince Neil. LOL

It was a joke. My town in Metro Detroit has a summer festival and they usually get some good talent and they will get around 10,000 there to watch the weekend headliner. Most years the headliner comes on around 8:30pm and will play to around the sound ordinance time of around 11pm. Vince Neil came out at 8pm and was done at 9:10pm. What a joke and what a waste of tax payer money when he was only on stage for less than an hour in total and his band played for over 20 minutes without him. Heck one year they had a local VH tribute band play for 3+ hours and I am sure they were only paid a few thousand and the crowd was booing because they had to stop playing at 11pm. Same holds true for a AC/DC tribute band that they had there the next year. Anymore I would rather pay to see a tribute band at a venue and at least you know those guys are giving it their all as opposed to VInce Neil just phoning it in. JOKE

I saw the tour that Cheap Trick opened in the 2000s, the Farewell Tour when Tommy couldn’t play and Alice Copper’s drummer filled in AFTER doing Alice’s whole set, and one other I can’t remember the details of...

...I’m sorry, lots of fun kicking the famous guy that makes a lot of money when he‘s down

Elvis was “way up“ in 1976 too...

If you are that offended and incredulous that a singer in a rock band has succumbed to addiction and alcoholism I can only suggest you re-calibrate your expectations. No one is making you go see him.
its vince neil dude. the marketing on the flyer says " the legendary voice" !
The guy is and always was a drunk and an ego maniac. can't empithize with him much. i'm not gunna talk about the Razzle thing cuz he lost his daughter, and he's probably suffered a lot as a result. But as far as still wanting to be taken seriously, or be viable as a performer, he needs to do some serious work, or hang it up, cause a thousand cover singers could do better and look better. he isn't THAT important. Shit, get john corrabi if nothing else, he wasn't bad.

Alcoholism is the inability to control drinking due to both a physical and emotional dependence on alcohol.
Symptoms include a strong need or urge to use alcohol. Those with alcohol use disorder may have problems controlling their drinking, continue to use alcohol even when it causes problems, or have withdrawal symptoms when they rapidly decrease or stop drinking.
Treatment involves counseling, such as behavioral therapy, and medications that reduce the desire to drink. Some people need medical detoxification to stop drinking safely. Mutual support groups help people stop drinking, manage relapses and cope with necessary lifestyle changes.

And it is. Aged in fine oak barrels and cheap wine lol.
Like I said, I’ve seen them a bunch. VN was great every time I saw them (last being I think 2016 w/Poison in MA). If you don’t want to pay to see them don’t. I can promise you a bunch of anonymous randos slagging him on a guitar board means nothing to him. And it’s just fukkin whiny

Vince, is that you? Or are you just some fanboy who is deaf as a fucking stone? I would hope for his sake that he doesn’t care what we think, because if he did he would be pretty fucking bummed that people have been disappointed in his output since about 1993.

Forums are a place for discussion, this discussion happens to be about how fucking terrible VN is in his current state.

Wah wah wah this singer doesn’t sound the way I want him to…grow up

Regardless of what your mom tells you, no one cares what you don’t like. And if you don’t have the stones to put your name behind an opinion you matter even less

"Meals, Meals, Meals"

Friday night and I need a bite
Three stuffed
turkeys and a carving knife
Handful of lard in my mouth feels right
Yes, what I need to make my pants too tight are more

Meals, Meals, Meals
Beer kegs and pickled lips
Meals, Meals, Meals
Chowing down on chicken strips
Meals, Meals, Meals
French dip, potato chips

It's such a treat, all you can eat

On Monday, Tuesday and any day of the week
Deep fried meals, just can't be beat
Yes, they're what I need so I can't see my feet

Meals, Meals, Meals
At the Barbecue House with a glass of ale
Meals, Meals, Meals

Scarfing
it down with many cocktails
Meals, Meals, Meals

Raising my cholesterol and breaking my scale
