They kill man, they are excellent songwriters

Their guitar stuff has never been that great compared to the rest of the band though (especially the keys and singer)

Can you imagine Yngwie shredding over "tearing down the world" or "last goodbye"?

The intro riff has been done in a thousand variations already, but this one is lifted specifically from No Rest For The Wicked, which has been in his set list ad nauseum.

I actually like the main riff of the song though, but thats about it.

Whatever drum machine hes using has an old ass drum sound. There are cheap vst out there that sound better than it. His drum sound would even be better if he used the free demo Slate drums, sadly.

The arpeggio section sounds like it has been generated by an Yngwie Arpeggio Randomize

I listened when I first saw it come out. Almost, and I mean almost, sounded ok at the beginning. Then the singing started. Man. Get a singer and stop this Yngwie.

What is that sound modern vocals always seem to have. This spitty, digital sound and like the mic gain is super high. Always sounds like they are way up front and right in my ear. Can’t stand it.

I’ve prayed for so long Yngwie would have one last redemption arc and put together a cool group and record something old school. Maybe even branch out to some different styles, but in the Yngwie way. Like imagine him doing something with a jazz fusion 5 string bass player or something? Never going to happen though. Just one lackluster album after another.

At least we got the earlier albums. And I’m talking into the 90s too. Great stuff. I love the guy, just can’t do this new stuff.

Yeah, he even managed to put some stuff out early 2000's that was passable but man, this is terrible. In fact, he has quite a few good albums with strong songs, more than many other bands from his era if you add them up. Sadly, all eclipsed by the last decade of slop.

Made it about halfway….Will stick to the Alcatrazz and Rising Force material, really great back then. Hard to watch that vid with the wig/ extensions and mutton chops ( whatever the sideburn things are ). He does his thing though, give him credit for that.
