Also, wanted to mention that your recording quality has gotten quite better over time. Really appreciated for people like me who have to rely on demos like this to help make informed decisions. You videos wound up being a helpful contributor in my realization that the SLO just has too big and less tight of a low end for my preferences, otherwise I would be really into it myself.

Now the real question for me would be Mark III vs IV. I can't decide so I am starting my hunt to try to get both with hopes of finding the right III first. Any of the stripes should make me happy but narrowing it down between the blue, green, or red is going to be difficult and the deciding factor is probably just going to be driven by what i can find in decent enough condition at a reasonable price. Assuming a Quad preamp does not pop up first.

Yikes, so you are being serious. I am sorry that you are offended that I took the time to legitimately thank someone who has posted multiple videos that have helped me in my personal amp search after I stumbled across this thread doing a universal google search on some Mark III research. Also, I could tell that he happens to have owned the two amps that I am currently still debating between (a Mark III and IV), but I refrained from directly asking for his opinions between the two in this thread because it was 4 years old (hope this part at least makes you less inflamed).

I was excited to finally get active over on this forum after basically just being a no contributing lurker while being active for years on a number of the other forums, but Fractal in particular, as I am a big Mesa fanatic, have owned a Mark and recto so far, exclusively use mesa models in the Axe Fxs that I have owned, and am now looking to start down a slow but steady effort to build a mini collection of Mark amps.

Sorry that all of this seems douchy to you. I hope the rest of the community is more inviting and pleasant then you are. Now let's move on with our lives, and I will try to not feel like the new kid in school who just got pushed around by some bully POS who is unnecessarily negative and dealing with whatever insecurities they are dealing with. If you check Craigslist everyday, Mark III's come up for sale cheap every once in a while. I've bought three for $550 or less. SLO, I haven't seen one for less than $4000.

I bought my Quad pre-amp for $450 right as the covid hit. I'd take a Quad pre over a Mark III or IV any day and I own both.
