Apologies for the late update, between a wedding, and a certain TV show's first episode of season 8, I was pretty side-tracked.
So I spent some more time blending these amps. I ended up dialing in the VH2 to taste, and then dialing in the Archon taste, and THEN blending them. By blending, I mean tweaking the archon to fit with the VH2. I had originally thought of scooping the archon in order to blend it with my "mids for days Diezel tone", but what seems to be working better is having both of these amps dialed in pretty mid heavy. I've kept the archon's bright switch on, and the deep controls low. I should note I play the archon through an oversized mesa cab, and the VH2 through a standard sized 4x12. The oversized is naturally bassier, while the standard mesa cab is much punchier/crisp.
I played with these settings at my gig, and I had a lot of compliments on my tone, so I think I'm having some success. What a fun gig too! I'm certainly not done finding the sweet spot with these two amps, but I think I'm getting closer.
I wish I had a pick of my setup from the night, but you can kinda' see the Diesel VH2 behind me!
