AFI Sing the Sorrow Album Gear?

I remember someone here mentioning AFI and the Sing the Sorrow Album in particular having a great recorded guitar tone. I just listened to the album today and I agree that the guitar tone is great! Even though I'm a metal player, the guitar tones for this are excellent in my opinion. What gear did they use for this album? BTW, I would like to thank the person for mentioning AFI because I loved them back in the day and haven't listened to them in a real long time. Sad to say, but I almost forgot about them.

If I remember he used DSL's at that time live. I still think The Leaving Song pt 2 is such a badass song, production and everything.

He was using the producers Marshall mixed with a Dual Rectifier mixed in the studio . He did for STS and the next two if I recall correctly. It was his sound for that period before his tone changed for the worse . The Marshall used was same as on Green Day Dookie

I like that he always stuck with a Studio. Black Sails did it for me
