Yeah and with a five piece group leads are mostly all I'm doing now. I have zero dollars otherwise this and Waynzo's phaser would already be en route for my updated Albert King tone.

The blues driver has nothing on the Gladio or Blue Note.

:love:I will def put it through it's paces and post up some footage. Festivals next month and I've been working on the next record.

Yeah, those seem to get a lot of love.

The gold standard for me has been the Blue Note for a decade+, since about 2012. Everything has to beat that. It has a hot switch for a shift to more gain which makes it extremely useful when I'm stuck with big iron at a lower volume gig. I can still get the sustain without adjusting a million knobs. Even though I switched to the Gladio I don't leave home without the Blue Note.

They are one of the best lead tone amps ever created

You'll find it almost a guarantee that everyone who thinks SLOs suck does nothing but chugga chugga and has no lead chops

This isn't a coincidence, it's a data point
I never played an amp that was so clear & articulate like it forces you to play really clean & reveals every mistake… It let me know I need to really work on my chops.. -living proof of your statement.. 😔

I'm interested based on your description alone.

They are 100% not for metal alone

There's a reason Warren Haynes, SRV, Boomer Jesus Clapton, etc etc love them

They are extremely touch responsive, which makes them really expressive for lead guitar

They are also really full in the low end, which is why lots of metal people do not enjoy them, which i totally get

I've never had problems getting any type of tone out of an SLO, clean, blues, metal, whatever, but I understand why they are so polarizing

Seems like it'd be worth a shot once I have some money to spend.

I think the SLO is one of the greatest amps ever made, right up there with Fender Bassmans, Marshall Super Leads, Boogie Marks, et al. I've never had any trouble getting any sound I wanted out of mine, but my favorite remains the crunch channel. The amp is just so responsive, makes those mid-gain tones incredibly fun to play.
