I swear I have never heard anyone say it like S.L.O. ever. I do not go around talking about them all the time but the first time I saw this amp was about 10 years ago. I have definitely talked to quite a few people that either had one, wanted one or was getting one and they always pronounced it like Slow.

That is how I was introduced to the amp. Maybe it is the different generation thing like some have said or we are just not in the know.

I'd go with age...I remember when Mike got started (and then RB shortly after) and I learned what to call it* not from reading but by talking to the reps or the GM at my favorite dealer (where all the local pros hung out). But that was late 80s. I'm 49.

*I remember hearing Bogner called "Bonn-yay" a la French...when said GM told us "He's a German guy; it's BOG-nur."

Probably age, I'm 35 me and all my friends call it a SLO. I've never owned one and never have done any in depth research so obviously I'm wrong but to me it's still a Slo.

How about Les Paul being pronounced "Lay Paul" as if it were French for "the Pauls". Yes I've heard that one, from more than one person who own those guitars. Then I've told them "It's Les as in Lester". They're argue, and I'd say "no, I mean literally because it's a signature guitar design for Lester Polsfuss aka Les Paul". Derp.

Who the F says SLOW? P.A.F. Is the same thing....calling it a "PAF" or even worse describing a pickup as being "PAF-EY" (which I've heard before) is straight up lame
