I don’t know how Eric Johnson and Andy Timmons wound up on your list, unless you are just engagement farming. Both are top tier players; guitarist’s guitarists.

Otherwise, I could agree with you on sig models for these YouTube characters. For instance, do that husky beardy guy and that Rabea guy deserve signature models? At that point, it just dilutes the pedigree of what a sig model is.

Some manufacturer just needs to come out with the “your name here Bedroom Player” model.

Otherwise don't know, don't care, could care less, never played, never will play the pedal or whatever. Played an EJ strat once too and was like it's okay.....

But just didn't understand or felt what made it better or worth the money relative to any other guitar off the wall.


I'm not saying I don't like sig stuff such as say a lot of the Dunlop Wah pedals. Those things are great and unique and awesome.


Not putting these guys one the same level as Andy Timmons and such but not everyone is Joe Satrani or Steve Vai or Tim Henson you know......

I have the same question regarding YouTubers with signature gear, at least Pete is an hired and session guitar player and did some good CDs. But what about those who only have a show from their parent's basement. WTF? What have they done? Did they make a few good records? Tunes we can remember? Toured the World?

Seems that influ-liars are the new guitar heroes these days.

Yeah some of the Influencer Gear is fucking stupid too.......

But there are a lot of good values there and a lot of value and that is why people look at them mainly not for the name of the Influencer.

Guitar Max has some pretty stupid good sigs and AguFish too.

I agree they seem stupid but they really have a lot of value.


There are some others I rather not mention because they seem like decent people but yeah while I say the Influencer Sigs are stupid in general.... Some carry a lot of value for your money as a player and worth it.

Honestly yeah fucker at JHS is woke as fuck..... And his gear sounds like shit.

I was honestly looking into getting a Reverb pedal and considering Keeley at the top of my list. All his stuff sounds great too, classic, go to pedals but just elevated to another level without having to pay an arm and a leg for what you get.

I'm looking at the Hooke Spring Reverb as far as Keeley goes and may also check out some J Rocket stuff.


Our local dude on the forum Griffin FX here at Rig Talk makes some pretty damn amazing pedals too and I highly recommend him too.

Kind of want to get the Hooke Spring Reverb by Keeley ......

Universal Audio would be the next choice but too expensive for me but sound amazing and may be worth a look at for others.

Probably getting the Hooke on my Bday for myself for the Bad Cat Lynx as it doesn't have Reverb and I believe the Hooke also comes with Vibrato/Tremolo so that would be a major big plus.
