The Keeley Andy Timmons pedals are all solid options; good sound, reasonably priced, designed & spec’d in a way that’s actually useful for a lot of players.

The EJ Strat from Fender is pretty niche, but they’re pretty nice for what they are & a good value on the used market. His signature fuzz face was also good, although used prices have gotten out of hand.

I happen to be a fan of both, and would consider some of their signature gear. Not because of the name, they’re just good products.

I do have the Keeley Muse Driver, it’s one of my favorite single overdrive pedals.

Andy is a good player. I wish someone would call me a D-lister. Fortunately I get to feel like an A list guy every time @griff10672 hears me out about some mini toggelz or when my amp tech does some cool mods for $ I can afford. Sometimes I feel like the luckiest guy in the world to have a band full of high quality players that gets a few decent paying gigs now and again. I've learned that sometimes small successes in the business are huge compared to what a lot of guys will ever get to experience. TLDR I'm feeling thankful tonight. ☦️ :yes:☦️

I think you are underestimating the quality of his versatility. I normally would reject some former rocker showing up to my blues gig wanting to sit in, but he's the kind of quality player that would override my normal objections. I hope you are well tonight Daniel. ☦️

I don't think so and well most cover band players in major cities who have steady gigs are as good or much better IMO/IME :dunno:


I imagine same could be said about your average artist in cover bands in NYC, Chicago, Dallas, LA, Nashville etc etc......

You seem to have issues. Maybe nobody plays as good as you but to diss players like Timmons and EJ because you consider them hacks shows two things. You are extremely ignorant and likely an average guitarist yourself. if they are D list players lets see your body of work. Now is the time. Put up or shut the fuck up.

There is honestly no point in engaging. Anything you say will pass into one ear and straight out the other while he just mindlessly replies by calling you some combination of cuck woke gay DEI hire or any one of his entire vocabulary of four or five generic interchangeable insults, and then he'll continue on as if you never said anything at all.

The dude already said Andy Timmons can't play. That should tell you everything you need to know about his mental state. The best thing at this point is to just pull out the old mental clipboard and put a check mark in the "mentally unstable, danger to himself and others" box next to his name and go about your day being thankful he's just a random voice on the internet you can ignore.

I disagree about AT and EJ, they've both played in real bands and shit

but agree on tits mcgee and have never even heard of the fourth dude

I mean, this post comes across as kind of haphazard and not very well thought out because of the lack of discernment between wildly disparate types of guitarist
 
I don’t care whose person’s gear it is. Only if it has specs that I like that the regular model/s don’t have. Like with Fender or Gibson that would be stuff like bigger frets, different neck shape, fretboard radius etc. someone may do a sig with ESP or Jackson where it actually has a decent sized neck that doesn’t feel like I’m playing a wood shaving off a deck board.
Granted I do dig gear and will always want to try new stuff but I know in my heart, with just a 6 knob Marshall and a Gibson and a Fender guitar, a TS9/Sd1/fuzz and simple delay/modulation FX, I’m doing everything I’ll ever need to do.
As a kudo’s to newer tweaks, so far I’m digging the Lizard King fuzz I just got as the clean blend is opening up some cool uses with guitar, not just bass.
