Andy Timmons, Violet Lari, Eric Johnson, Derry Grehan etc etc D-List Signature Gear...... Who buys this shit.....

I bought them before I had ever heard of Andy Timmons, but his signature DiMarzio pups are great. And just an hour ago I saw Pete Thorn play with Satch Vai in Vegas. He was using his signature PT-100 head and it sounded great. I've wanted one of those for several years.

Yeah I’m not saying I’m right, there has been one up for sale locally for like a year and I can’t bring myself to do it. I know I’d probably like it…and I do have the funds…🤔
 
I think those PT-100s go for about $1900 used. They are big and heavy and I can't see anyone but a total gear nerd even knowing about them, let alone seeking one out. Well, I want one, but just have no room left in the stable and I have all bases covered with my current stock. I saw a Friedman SS model in the Vegas GC yesterday. I'm guess they're not flying off the shelves either, though Steve has been around a lot longer than Pete. I saw a Phil X head in the Cherry Hill, NJ GC once.
 
This one is actually a 50w—he’s asking $1800, not sure it will do anything the amps in my sig don’t all do

I’m not a big Eric Johnson freak or anything like that and I’m not trying to make this a big deal. But, I think there’s something to be said for having a tone and style that’s SUPER recognizable.

EDIT - Nevermind. That also describes Tom Morello and I think he’s a sucky idiot.
