Hey Guys,

In our constant effort to bring you the best builders and tone gurus in the business we are happy to welcome Alan Phillips and his company Carol Ann Amplifiers to Rig-Talk. There is a reason players like Eric Johnson and Smoking Joe Bonamassa turn to Al for his advise when it comes to guitar tones. (Listed to Joe B live at Royal Albert Hall to hear Alans amps).

Please join me in welcoming a fellow New Englander, Alan Phillips and Carol Ann Amplifiers to the party.

Oh great...more GAS inducing builders joining the party! (jk) Welcome! Tones in that video sounded great!

Welcome Alan, hope you have some fun here as that is what this place is about

Alan comes from a Marshall Plexi dimed thru a 4-12 perspective ! His Tucana has lots of gain and can do the rock/hard rock thing as good as anybody you just don't hear that many of those types of clips on the net. All his amps are very 3D and always record well and work great in a live situation (how many builders gig amps they build each weekend to make sure they sound right in a band mix !).

Cool to have him on here amoung all the other amazing builders.

i've heard nothing but incredible things about these amps and look forward to playing one soon.

welcome!

welcome..great playing on the video whoever it was, damn!

i have never played one, but I have heard one at Tone Merchants. It was Carl's (fusionbear). The video does a pretty good job at representing the tone. In person it just sounds sweet.

lol....I used a '67 Plexi and 4x12 for 20 years. Love that tone ! Jim knows.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I've had a good scan around the site now, listened to a few clips and actually feel quite at home.

Nice PRS on your avatar bro. My axe of choice. I've owned more than I'm going to admit to.
