I changed my mind after the second round, and now have an order

No surprise, Mr Peters builds a fine amp and I miss my small box Halo/Gryphon(build me one of those in 100w) what is a surprise is I did not like the MK(sounded boomy to me too) The Splawn and the mako sounded good, may have to check those out.

I am not sure I can take another(must have listened to that 20 times), and pretty sure Vs head will implode, OK I'm in!!

Here's my take on the new 57 clips...

#1. Solid, defined, got some gnarl to it, seems held in, touch of rawness...nice.

#2. This one sounds as though it's got a bit o' KERRANG in it!! Middy, but clean.

#3. Hard hittin', some depth there, little compressed on the decay, slow attack's got oomph!

#4. A bit harsh, hard edges, could have good cut, seemed a bit loose and crumbly.

#5. A bit fizzy, but nice smooth sustain/decay, lacked a bite but was nice and thick.

I won't bother getting all serious and shit trying to figure it out, but if I had to, I'd say this...

I like 2, 1, 5, 3, 4.

SHIT!!!!! Didn't see you posted the results - I just went right to the end of this thread, donned the eargoggles (as I finally had time to run through them this morning as everyone is still sleeping) and managed to make my choices. I have to tell you, I am surprised in what I heard, but I am really, really happy that the one amp that had character to it - the KERRANG - was the Mako!!! Stoked, this wasn't some bullshit "oh you posted the results so now I'll pretend I have a good ear" thing, this is truth - I just got to this this morning... The are AWESOME Mrevol!! Thanks Braddah!!

I am surprised the Krank came ahead of a couple others, as typically I've not been a fan of Krank amps...

Mrevol, you've done these a few times now and I really dig 'em, just wanna say thanks.
