Don't feel bad... a lot of people have no talent and endlessly bag on those that do.

It's so hard. Can somebody help, please help me!!! If you don't help me, I'm gonna hurt myself pretty bad.
:aww:

Why is Reb sportin Marshall in the video? I thought he was with Suhr for amps as well as guitars?

I wish I was as good as Reb.

You gotta understand he thinks some other pro players suck because he believes they are his equal.

Better than Ratt race by a mile... cool solos. Tone I thought was pretty decent and better than he sounds in the Suhr video. Kip still sounds good too. I wouldn't say this is too 80's, they didn't go crazy with chorus and there was open E palm muting and some double bass. That's current enough for rock of this decade.

My complaint with Reb is that he taps everything. It is almost like the lazy man's guide to having no alternate picking skills.

Cant stand Rebs tone. Its like he has the presence and Midrange all the way up and eveything else turned way down.
Reb's a "typical" mediocre '80s player. Plays one style all through. He talks in this video how he pretty much eliminates any bass in his mix. He makes a statement "We don't like bass . . ." or something like that. As if "we" are all in the same club as he is. He's pretty much a legend in his own mind and quite irritating and annoying at times with his comic relief.

Mediocre?   Am I'm missing something? Is this mediocre? I think not!!!

+ 1 have to laugh at the no names who never wrote a hit and never will offering their critique as if it meant anything..

I must be the only one who finds that song boring as fuck all.

Good tune, I dig Reb's tone...and anybody who thinks he's nothing more than a mediocre 80's player is simply a dumbass, period. Nobody says you have to like him, but to downgrade his playing as mediocre reeks of ignorance and/or outright stupidity.

Hated this band in the 80s, still hate them now. Lyrics are complete garbage and riffs are complete stock crap. Sounds like a song Loudness would have left on the cutting room floor in 1988. I see where the crop of current modern rock bands get their "retro-rock" influences. It's just modern versions of crap like this.

All that being said, Reb Beach can still play a mean guitar, so there's that

Wow... I found that completely uninspirational. Just like the last Whitesnake album. Sure... the guys are all still very slick and polished. But where's the SONG??? Sounded like it was from the same ole 80s playbook to me. And though I cut my guitar teeth during the early and late 80s and sometimes long for the musicianship of that era... every time I hear a band in this day and age bringing it back -- I always find it to be flat, formulaic, and uninspired.

Oh well... to each his or her own. Somewhere along the line I must've grown-up, grown old, grown dead, grown boring, etc.

Reb's always been an awesome technical player. VERY polished. But nothing he's played has inspired me in the least since "In the Heart of the Young". Plenty of style... not much substance.

Honestly, though I come from the Yngwie school of playing (he was my idol in the 80s), the players that I've found myself listening to the most over the past ten years have been Damon Johnson (Brother Cain, Slave to the System, Alice Cooper, Thin Lizzy), Keith Urban, and maybe Jerry Cantrell. There is TONE, SONGS, and FEEL there that I just don't hear with many of the 80s slickmeisters.

Polarizing subject and band. Thread is full of lulz!
They truly are. I honestly think so much negativity is carried with the Winger name that they would be better off just performing under another band name. To say Reb is a bad player is a completely different discussion, however
