And for the record I see no issues in replica guitars. To each their own. and if I had the cash I'm sure I'd get one. I just seriously don't see the issue about the headstock, but whatever. I guess the issue has been beaten to death in the past. I haven't been part of any of those discussions.

What's also funny is what people can justify in their mind when they want something that's not right or legal. The icing on the cake is it has to say Gibson Les Paul or non of these guys would be buying them. If it's a great playing guitar and sounds great then it really shouldn't matter what the headstock shape is or what's on it. Yes that to me fucking hilarious.

That's actually a good point that I haven't thought of. I wonder how many would buy if it had a different headstock and name for the same price. Personally not sure I would as I'm a Gibson Les Paul fanboi and everything else looks odd on a LP.

Technically you shouldn't post a replica's headstock with the "Gisbon" name on it as they may pursue your builder with a cease and desist order. Then no one would have a decent Les Paul unless it was 50 plus years old.

The only people that really seem to give a fuck what is on the headstock are people that don't own these guitars. I didn't have a choice as mine was already built when I bought it. That being said, I would have bought it even if it said Ejecta or, douche for that matter, on the headstock.

Instead they hide behind the lawyers and point their fingers at who they think is stealing a design they stole their self.

There is a reason why people don't show the head stocks and mention the builders. It's because they have something to hide. If it wasn't wrong then there would be nothing to hide.
