First heard about them because of godflesh. Dude only used metal picks. I tried one once and didn’t care for it personally….

Yes I love metal picks. Nickel silver make a great sound.

I put those on, heavy Brass slide, and my steel body Resonator.... My wife will commence to bitching in less than 10 seconds....

But that is a rude, raw, straight to the Delta acoustic tone

And Eric Sardinas uses those.

I started using them on acoustic and then when I got a semi hollow it made sense to me to just start using them on my electric. Works better for me than a flat pick.
