Thermite amplifiers out of New Brunswick seem to be doing some pretty cool things as of late

Probably because he got busted building absolute trash garbage fire hazards like Billy blades. It was all over a few tech forums I’m a member of. He built some that were so bad that when they didn’t work he wouldn’t warranty the repair and stiffed people.

I remember a few I suggested for him to fix that he claimed were his and then he put them up for sale in the classifieds without fixing the problems.

Whatever his name change he’s got some explaining to do.
Unless amps that were shipped did not look like the ones he posted pictures/videos of they didn't look like what anything Billy Blades put out IMHO. Unless he bypassed the fuses and had uninsulated grounds almost touching the chassis and things like that I always seen a pretty decent clean build and lead dress from the guy, I never got any extreme close up or studied them that hard but they didn't look that bad.

That being said I'm not saying these things didn't happen but I do find it telling and suspicious that he would close up shop, delete his YT account if he was going to fix any issues with his amps since he was selling them commercially and not as a hobby.

That's too bad because his mods actually do sound very good if you are into that gained up plexi tone. How many small time builders have we seen here go the way of Cameron? Quite a few now...............:thumbsdown: I guess we can add him to the list.........

Usually when someone closes up shop like that they are usually being sued for something that has happened or there was a threat of litigation. Surprised because he seemed like a decent guy when he was here and his clips did sound great. I liked the fact that he was fairly local to me as well. I was considering it at one point but glad I went with something else.

I guess it is another one of those cover doesn't match the book situation. Too bad really.

Give Rich from Amplifiers Plus in Cambridge a call and ask him if he can do any of the stuff you need done.

I had taken my Splawn Nitro to him and he did a couple of simple mods.

Great guy to deal with and prices were great.
