The lady across the street from me in high school took in abandoned racoons and raised them until release. I helped a few times. Make no mistake, as cute as you think they are, there are species of animals that are not meant to be domesticated. They will always have the innate wild animal in them and can cause great destruction.

I had several that lived on my property years ago that would sit on my porch with me. They were mostly interested in food.
