Anyone here own a Soldano Hot Rod 25?

I was curious as well and so I've built me one, although I've added full SLO preamp specs (clean mode for the first channel) and added two pots, one for depth and an overall master after the loop.
Loop placement ( and sound = less compression) is besides the smaller poweramp ( lower volts but adjusted for tightness values in the B+) the biggest difference here and what can I say? I like it a lot.

it's american tounge-in-cheek humor meant in a good way olaf. it's something that's easier said than done. most of us don't know how to just build an amp from scratch.

Had an HR100, have an SLO. HR100 is a good amp-but an SLO is on a different level. HR25 must be similar to the 100...

I keep hearing a lot say the HR25 sounds like a mini SLO. Not sure how true that is. Would be nice if some actual owners would chime in. Maybe even offer a few real world clips for us that are interested.

Not sure what hr25s go for new, but you're probably not that far off a used slo price..GC has a 25 for 1900 used? Slo used for 2500...I would think about holding out for the real deal. And don't believe the bs about not sounding good at low volumvolume..they sound better than the hr100 that I had. And when you turn them up...stand back.

I have one. Also have a HR50. The HR25 sounds much bigger and fuller. Was initially concerned it wouldn't cut it live but I have never had the master above 5. I tend to roll off the gtr volume and it cleans up really well on the lead channel. Don't use the crunch channel much. The loop is outstanding.
I play it through a couple Port City 1x12's with Creambacks. It has turned into my main gigging amp.
