Yeah, I'll get to building my Les Paul foot stance and be the ultimate fanboy then.

To paraphrase, why does it upset you so much?

I don't even consider Les Paul as a signature guitar so it doesn't upset me. It's a brand not a signature model.
Nice pwned pictures but you could do better.

My personal fave ->

Alright I gotta go practice my John Petrucci stances and EVH face expressions now :rock:

I guess that's why my Les Pauls all say "Les Paul Model"

Yawn. I heard the Les Paul is a signature argument many times. And again, I won't bother arguing.

What is Gibson Les Paul Slash model supposed to be? I know, it would be aaaaaa... signature signature model!!!

I'm done with this thread. The original question was answered long time ago and I have little interest trying to find a common ground with fanboys ;) :thumbsup:

I'm an admitted fanboy, however.

Isn't it the same as people owning EVH guitars and Plexis though?

Hahahaha
I can relate to the unintended fanboy phenomenon. I think it was in '94 that the 5150 came out, I thought it was killer, but too much for the smaller club venues I was playing at the time, then came the 5150 combo, and I bought the first one that was shipped in to a Peavey dealer in Phoenix then........
about 2-3 years later I unintentionally became the owner of a Wolfgang, and it blew away the Ibanez guitars I was using. I had a real mental battle with switching to Wolfgangs because I knew that everyone would think I was an Eddie fanboy.... but the truth is, the gear just sounded great and worked well for me, but for the next 10 years, everywhere we showed up to play, people looked at my stuff and thought it was Van Halen covers night, but that was not the case at all.
So, I understand exactly what you're saying.
