Definitely would be cool if they make a 6v6 version at 15/20 watts. Still set on the 50 watt El34 version even if a smaller wattage option was offered.
What I like about it for a 50 Watt is that the power section doesnt flub out and it retains a lot of headroom similar to a Friedman Smallbox 50 for example. In general this is why you want and like 100+ watt amps as a player not so much for the wattage/volume but more for the headroom from more tubes and bigger transformers....... also 7 gain stages doesnt hurt in the headroom department.......
Of course this comes with the territory with higher wattage amps but a lot of 50 watters IME dont really offer a lot more headroom than their smaller 15/20 watt versions or counterparts.
The 5150 Iconic for example at 40 watts or the 50 watt 5150 lll while good as said IMO lack a lot of headroom and tend to flub when really pushed for as good as they are.
Dont know if its the extra gain stages leading to more headroom or the arguably bigger and better transformers and builds but in general they really provide a lot of texture, liquid and organic feel and its very plug and play and very intuitive with more than enough gain on tap for anyone with its 7 gain stages.
Best way I could put it in regards to if it were a car......
Its a Lamborghini Huracan with all the bells and whistles under the hood and the full package of high gain amps bringing unbridled tone, gain and plenty of headroom, definition and articulation on hand and on tap for even the most demanding of players........ Thats the Lynx in a nut shell.
And all I used was a Gibson 50s Standard with Burstbuckers 2 in bridge and 1 in neck....... not a lot of output but a whole lot of lovin' either way ^_^
