Hermansson for me but I've been gassing for one of his amps for awhile now so I might be biased.

i like the v30's...dare i say better.

did you eq the iic+ differently this go-round/

all those amps sound good !

I did eq'd them a little differently, i fixed the iic in the 75 clip now

Mesas are made for V30s. If the other clips are all amps with T75s, that’s easily the reason the C+ didn’t compare well. Unless they are the earlier vented versions.
All sounded really good! Killer collection there.

i dont know, i thought that till i plugged my triple G into my 1960 and its a close call. i redid the iic+ with the 75's, this is how it was supposed to sound first time around

Matching the right pieces parts together is so key. I love the T75s for certain things & certain amps, and the V30 for others. If I had to pick one it'd be the V30 because I think it works better in the band mix more often.

That said I think the Cameron wins in this mix. The C+ is a lot better than the other clip, though.

yeah, these comparisons are honestly kind of silly cause theres so many factors with everything, check the clip again though, i redid the iic+ with 75s like i should have done first time, now it might be my favorite

I don't believe you, that's the Recto. :haha:

When I think back to all the gear I've had the best memories are when I find a specific combination of guitar / amp / cab that just KILLS.

It’s why I like having so much gear, I love trying different everything in search of that magic combo, it keeps me playing. Now I just gotta get a little better on drums which I’m working at so I can start recording full songs and maybe get that YouTube going. I’d like to do a different rig every song

And yeah next I’ll do the recto, I actually put that in my living room cause I been jamming on it the most lately and was too lazy to start moving shit lol

I told my sound engineer that I wanted a different rig & tone for every song that my band is recording for an album now, and he looked at me like "no fuckin' way bro". :haha:

I thought the Hermansson and Cameron sounded best on both clips. Really aggressive... killer tone man!!

if you got the time and budget i say go for it, but yeah thats a pain in the ass, now youre gonna need different bass tones to match which is gonna affect the kick and everything else. i understand now why producers and mixers want DI tracks so when the band isnt there they can just reamp everything  its crazy to me reading about bands like metallica spending six months on rhythm guitars alone, the most ive spent on any of my clips is maybe an afternoon and thats recording and mixing everything lol.

I think all of them sound great but honestly it's pretty awesome how Cameron and Monomyth can take a relatively cheap amp and have them hang with a Mesa

Yes, and remember the hermansson is an old 60s PA amp

Yeah but for some reason those don't surprise me as much. I know he puts a ton of work into those. I would love to have one of his amps at some point.

They all sound awesome. I would also give a leg up for the Carlsbro Hermansson. Wow.

And I say Wow because it sit just a bit above the others for me - which are all obviously very good amps.

Did you use the TC Mimiq again? Sounds so killer. I can't get enough of this pedal. Probably one of the coolest pedal purchases I've ever made. I thought the ABY alone was dope but the Mimiq is so fun. There was some fading back and forth but that actually just adds to effect.

If these were straight in without it, then I don't know. Killer playing and killer riff and I agree with whomever said it was the perfect amount of time with each amp. Did you reamp by chance? That's a lot of work for 45 minutes  And yes, you should get your stuff up on the tube.

no mimiq, just quad tracked to a click. i have my amps right next to me and my cabs in a closet so its easy to play and tweak right through my monitors. i never learned how to reamp. im glad youre digging the pedal, i been telling people with multiple rigs which is basically everyone here its a must have and not many listen

I do the same thing with my delays. The effect is basically like an extinct level event...

Manually quad tracked with 4 amps twice with 2 different cabs in 45 minutes?:worship:
