Both sound good to me. Isn't the BE100 deluxe basically a Marshall circuit with a bunch of popular mods that you can switch in and out?? They do (Friedman's) sound a bit smoother than a stock 800 but I think stock jcm800's are a little harsh and rough sounding.
Not really. It's a different circuit and in the room (or in a proper recording) the differences aren't hard to spot, particularly when you're the player.Both sound good to me.
