Now for No Justice For All

It's tough, but only between Blackened. The Shortest Straw and Dyer's Eve, and Blackened has the best riff on the whole album. Straw being a close second. Dyer's Eve has the best vocal melody.

This album has a shit ton of filler and boring fluff that should have been cut out - it would be a more well regarded record if they cut a 1/3 of "justice" and "to live is to die", but similar to MOP the high moments are as good as metallica would get in their career. It's all downhill from here unless youre a britney spears fan.

Btw one is like the Kirkland Signature© re-write mash-up of "Fade to Black" and "Sanitarium" and is incredibly generic and shitty compared to them, especially "fade to black" which is a much more melodically and harmonically interesting song. It's just popular because it was the first music video and nostalgia always rules.

Absolute not . The songs are perfect . And justice is a perfect song that comes in full circle . It goes by like 5 minutes to me . It’s so good I don’t even knotice 9:21 has went by . And I’m not a fan of long songs too much . But Dream theatre and Periphery do the same for me . Sometimes Dream theatre could cut the keyboard solos . Fuck kick out the keyboardist . Ban him

It's perfectly fucking boring for like half the album, yeah

I'm glad "justice" goes by so quickly for you, but most of us aren't stoned out of our minds bro

Blackened got my vote....Easily could have been Straw or Harvester.
I do believe with One they created the modern Stairway to Heaven . The ultimate slow sing that gets faster abd heavier until end . Took Pages idea to the tilt . Without going on all Dream theatre on us

You mean they created the Sam's Choice© "Fade to Black"

The bridge part at 3:52 in One may be their most epic moment ever. That melody is so oppressive, heavy and yet beautiful at the same time. And just the way it’s layered and built up with simple guitar parts that create a bigger picture definitely bring the Jimmy Page comparisons to mind. Shit like that is what will stand the test of time, not bands that can out riff and out shred them like Megadeth and Testament.

I didn’t agree on MoP having filler but justice is full of it. I agree with the tracks you said and would add Harvester for me; otherwise cool parts scattered around too-long songs and filler.

If they would have cut 20 minutes off this record, it would be just as loved as MOP

But it's got a bunch of spots where they are just jerking themselves off filling up time in the name of PrOGrEsSiVeNeSs

Really tough choice between Dyers Eve and Blackened for me. Ultimately had to choose Dyers Eve because of the blistering speed and aggression. I remember wanting to run through a wall when I first heard it as a teenager

Also has some of the best lyrics/vocal melody of any track on the album
