I read it. It's a bit like saying the parts that were legal were fine, but you know almost none of it was legal. I'm pretty sure that video I saw of them dragging that bitch down the street by her hair and throwing her into a jeep was not cool under the Geneva convention. Know what I mean ?

There has been no legitimate investigation as to what exactly took place. We do know that it was to a significant degree an organized military operation with military targets, even though most Western media obfuscates that fact.

We don't know who exactly penetrated the fence. Likely multiple groups, including opportunists and psychos, were active that day. I don't excuse or sympathize with any targeting of non combatants, whether deliberate or incidental.

On the other hand, I have never once heard you denounce Israel's far more egregious disrespect for civilian life.

You mean by giving them advance warning where they were gonna strike and telling them to leave ? They weren't targeting civilians. Not only was Hamas targeting Israeli civilians, they were ( and are ) targeting their own. Remember that hospital everyone was so up in arms about ? The one the Israelis supposedly bombed. Yeah, turns out it was a Hamas aligned terrorist group.

Your problem here is that you assume information that Hamas gives the UN and the world news isn't propaganda and you assume the Israelis are lying. And the fact is you don't know anything more or less than I do about it. You get your information from a terrorist group or people aligned with them. Or at least people who have an axe to grind with Israel. And I get my information from Israelis. I could be wrong, but I think it's a safe bet the Israelis are less likely to lie than the people who embed their rocket launchers and military weapons among their own civilian population and then cry about how the jews bombed a school or whatever even though that school had a rocket factory in the basement.

And some religious jews think they have a God given right to the land that allows them to wipe the Palestinians from it which explains the many illegal settlements and the Israeli government being willing to mostly overlook and even sanction them in some cases. Explain how the losing side is somehow less righteous when it comes to the same sort of ideology. Anyone on either side holding to that kind of thinking is a child of satan, which is really the root of the whole problem.

I use a Swype keyboard and I don't look as closely as I should to make sure it's getting the words right. "Your" and "you're" are very close.

I think you are right that the source of our disagreements stem from believing different sources of information. But I think you are mistaken to only believe Israel's account. For what it's worth, Israel relies on Hamas' casualty figures. There isn't some conspiracy at the UN and all the major world humanitarian organizations, including Israel's own, B'Tselem. Duplicity is Israel's MO. You should read more.

How is it different to tell Jews who to 'vote' for (IE what opinions to have about Israel or it's leadership)?
