Two VERY nice hauls right there JBT.

LOVE those older Kramers.

Congrats !!!!!

Can’t see the headstock but the bottom few inches of it. Which looks like a P headstock to me.
I cheated and texted him to find out.

BTW my bassist recently treated himself to one of those 75th anniv '51 P-Basses. Pretty sweet axe.

Hate is a strong word, but I will say that I’ve given away more P basses than most people have ever owned. For awhile there I kept running into crazy deals on them. At least 3 ( one of which was an American Fender) I got for less than $20. Some needed a tuner or the electronics weren’t working or whatever. So I fixed them up and gave them to poor kids locally who wanted to play but couldn’t afford it.

I did just sell one of my late father’s Mexican Fender P basses to a buddy of mine for $400 though.

I know you are a Spector guy. I've heard them sound killer and I've heard them sound like crap, it just seems to depend on the way the guy playing it dials it in. A P-Bass sits nice in the mix for blues stuff without much hassle. I definitely like his '51.

I used to keep one around with flats on it for fill in or pick up gigs. They never worked for me in 3 piece hard rock bands. In 2015 I was strictly using my ‘74 4001. The Spector knocked it to # 2 very quickly.

And the necks fucking suck. It’s like someone sawed a baseball bat in half.

I’m not big on any Fender basses really. And really the only fender guitar I love is my Telecaster.
