I used to keep one around with flats on it for fill in or pick up gigs. They never worked for me in 3 piece hard rock bands. In 2015 I was strictly using my ‘74 4001. The Spector knocked it to # 2 very quickly.

Yeah I like a P with flats for sure.

And the necks fucking suck. It’s like someone sawed a baseball bat in half.

Depends on which one you have. Not all of them are like ball bats IME but yes, many are. Maybe I'm biased since I have large hands.

I like teles and strat's if they are good ones but I don't really want to gig them anymore. Work is easier with a Gibson.

I like some Jazz bass necks. My dad’s American Deluxe 4 string is the only Fender bass I’ve ever played that I actually love. The neck is great. Passive/active electronics. Soon I need to go up and get it from my mom’s house, get them flats off it and string it up right. Fuck, I haven’t even touched my Ric in probably 5 years. And I LOVE that bass. Just not nearly as much as that Spector.

That’s about the 5th guitar my buddy Scott has given me. He likes buying and selling acoustics and he will occasionally get these electrics as a package deal for nothing. So he just decided to give them to me…. Lol
