How about the BARE WIRE heater wires!

For the record, there is absolutely nothing wrong with using bus wire for the heaters. Many amps do that. Soldano does that. Peters does that. Diezel has done that. Nothing wrong with the practice if implemented correctly.

Wow , one of our members recently posted gut shot pics of a Soldano clone he built and it looked like a work of art , his build quality put those to shame.

It's for sale, btw! ;) $1500. Or well... you can pay $2500 for a master-built Bladezzzzz. Building guitar amps is not that hard. Soldering isn't difficult. Anybody should be able to pick up an iron and build something like this as long as they have a little patience. All I did was copy Soldano though lol. Props to him for coming up with it. The layout really is beautiful.

Does Blades have a booth at NAMM 2017?

Of course he does.

It's in the crapper where his fucking cup holder amps belong!

Why do these blades threads always get so long? We've been through this so many times, might be better to stop feeding the trolls.

Which costs less? One is $2299.00 and the other is $2499.00...

Steve
Hey Steve I've often wondered how hard it is to design a circuit board like that? It looks like the hardest puzzle in the world to figure out. Do you guys use special software.

The Hennings just look like a superior designed and executed amp. The Blades is not even in the same league.
Even the much cheaper Ceriatone Chupacabra still looks way better on the inside.

Agree with 46and2, I thought I saw bare heaters in a Wizard but in any case it was a very well respected builder.

I could understand a budding 80's bedroom guitarist hack buying a Blades if they were a sub $500 tube amp and said person was looking to venture into tube amps after playing a Gorilla for 3 weeks or so. But the prices he charges, the aesthetics, the attitude, and the god-awful attempt at PTP wiring are all an immediate turn off. No thanks. If you do buy one, have your local fire dept on speed-dial.

Tidy not always mean well build... There are more aspects to consider.

PCB or PTP not matter so much, but i prefer NOT have the power tubes sockets mount on the PCB, for heat problems. Pots, switches, jacks of good quality (there are much better pots then ALPHA). I don't like to see crimped stuff, or computers cables inside.

Hybrid PCB/PTP like the SLO is build for last forever, like a good PTP/turret build.

he doesn't even build them or design the circuits. all he does is make the outsides look trashy and terrible. he is a no talent, waste of space loser.

In all fairness it doesn't look THAT horrible...... for a project amp that is. Looks like one of my builds and I can assure you nobody is paying me 2500$ to build them anything. I just plug away and tuck shit away as I feel like it. What astonishes me the most is the fact that for that kind of money, the guy doesn't even use a proper turret board. He uses the hard paper Webber style board. The ultimate in cheap. Now I can't really knock it too much as my old Traynor looked like a rats nest but I would hope that for this type of cash, the amp would look more like the Ceriatone. If it doesn't make noise or blow up, I guess it doesn't really matter. He is just trying to make as much cash as he can. A PCB might go a long way in helping him look more legit though.

Also, twisted heaters. My old Laney doesn't have them twisted either. When I rebuilt it with a turret board and made it into a killer sounding 2204 circuit, I didn't and don't find it noisey at all. Is there really that much of an advantage?

Some more Blades greatness. I don't know how someone can stay in business tattooing like this either.

he is a leech. basically a parasite selling garbage to morons.

Regardless of the build quality his amps sound good to my ears. However that may be the worst tattoo I have ever seen in my life.

There is some science and some art behind heater wiring. The straight SLO heaters work pretty well, especially if you run DC to the preamps.

If it sounds good, then looks might not matter. However, safety should be the top concern. Owners should have the earth ground done properly by a local tech.
