I just pulled the trigger on an older Deliverance 60 and I'm looking for speaker recommendations. I'm mostly going to be using the head for harder classic rock and 80s 90s Hard Rock not much metal. I made a great score on a marshall 1936 212 cabinet that came with celestion Rolla g12 t-75 speakers I want to know if those will fit my needs or recommendations on something else. The reason I'm asking this question and not waiting to try it out is because the head won't be here until Friday and I have until next Tuesday to return the cabinet within my 45 days so I'm not going to be able to try it out myself. Thank you for recommendations. By the way I've had these heads in the past and ran them through 4-12 Greenback cabinets and they were great but I need a 2-12 just because I'm going to be taking it to practice and I need something I can lift easily. I have a Greenback speaker and thought about buying another one but I'm worried about blowing the speaker because they're only 25 watts . I have an SLO 100 Half Stack but that's not very back friendly. Thanks for any info.

Can you buy the Fanes Fryette uses? Not sure if they sell them direct.

The 2x12 Greenbacks should be fine; the D60 is not the type of amp you'd crank the master on anyway

I really like v30’s with mine. Honestly, I don’t find those amps to be terribly finicky with what speakers you use.

In my experience in the past with carrying a 1936 2x12 and a 4x12, the 4x12 was easier to deal with. Mainly because of the casters. Plus it acts as a dolly for your head and a guitar case. I would go with a 4x12. Greenbacks for classic, Creamback 75's for a nicer midrange but probably as bright as a T-75 (for more aggressive edge or sparkle) and also Avatar has their Fanes and the F70 is really good if you want a mellower top end that tames fizz but isn't dull sounding. Mojo also has their 25 and 30 watt British speakers that are well regarded. plenty of videos of those.

Best is Fane F70G if you can get. I liked Celestion CL80 with Deliverance.

I've actually got a 4-12 Soldano cabinet for my SLO 100 but I just can't lug it around.

Greg did I buy a Deliverance 4x12 with P50E off you about 8-10 years ago ?

I have both cabs here. I definitely would not eat a burger from that gas station.

I think we need to have a ampfest this summer.

My favorite cab with the Deliverance is a old Peavey cab with Vintage 30 on the bottom and G12H-75 Creambacks on top.
The amp sounds good with any òf the Celestions I have tried.

The Deliverance 4x12 has the best definition. I have a speaker switcher with 8 cabs connected. I do blind test with it. More people pick the Deliverance 4x12 with P50E than any other cab. About 80% pick that cab regardless of what amp or guitar is used.

Great thread! I have a pittbull 50cl and have gone through a few iterations of speakers and my current is the Marshall vintage (V30) and the P50E in an X pattern. I lost some low end swapping T75s for P50E but I gained decent mids

Had 2, plus the 120. At the same time....this was back when they were 700 bucks used. The 60 is like a modded Marshall in many ways...less of a mid spike though. That amp loves any speaker that gets along with a Marshall. GBs, 65s, 75s, Marshall Vintages...IMO.
