So IT IS possible…and yes I love the OG, just wondering What I am missing. The power section improvement is not clear to me though. Given a DLX set up to OG specs (switch positions etc) does it sound bigger by any means?

I don't think you're missing anything, I think it's just two different takes on the same sound. The OG sounds... well... just like the OG Modded Marshall. The DLX sounds like a more modern, tighter, pissed off take on that sound. Maybe an analogy might be the Helios vs the Helios Eclipse.

I figured this might be the case. As brilliant as Reinhold is, I think he tends to needlessly complicate things at times.

I think this might be true here. I am going to plug into it this evening and jam along to some backing tracks and feel it out a bit. It's too early for me to say which I think is better for me.

I will say that when I plugged into the OG for the first time, I was like, "Wow, that's THE sound!" I remember it being really easy to get "that sound." With the DLX, I was like, "Oh this is interesting," which isn't the same thing.
