Yeah I've built 4 of these so far, all with different mods. I built one to have the aggression of the Chupa and tight low-end of the Yeti. I've built one to be closer to how Cameron voices his. And I've built two others with various tweaks to how I like it. These amps are super easy to mod.

I don't remember what was in this amp. It's been so long. Typically 18v sound good as one option and some transistors for the others. Lately I've just put like 6 different configs on a switch. I like MPSA06 the most. Then 2N5401 and 18v diodes.

This is a cool build, do you mind telling me whats the values of the yellow Mallory-Type capacitors ? From what i can see in the layout there is two 1uF with 3k resistors on top of it.. 1uF is 1000nF and i cant find any Mallory type capacitor with that value.. So what does yours say ?

If you're asking me, there are no 3K resistors in that amp. Are you asking about the cathode bypass caps?

@ledvedder pull the chassis and find out what spec the first gain stages are, cathodes and plates. There were differences.

I’d recommend sorting out the B+ filtering error at a minimum.
